Circular Foam addresses plastic pollution and environmental issues by offering a sustainable alternative to traditional plastic-based indoor acoustical foams. The acoustic panels are completely bio-based and biodegradable.

  • Annukka, the CEO, is in charge of making Cicular Foams run smoothly. She has experience in startup project management, administration, and accounting, with a background in Engineering Physics. Annukka is passionate about sustainability, responsible leadership, and her cat Mayhem.
  • Juha, the CTO, is the person who knows all about acoustics. He oversees production operations and leads R&D within Circular Foams. His background is in Materials Physics, and he has experience in R&D and scaling up production in a startup setting.
  • Tero, Senior Science Officer, is Circular Foams’ expert in sustainable materials. He has 10+ years of experience in biomaterials physics research, a PhD in Physics, and a strong research background in algorithms and soft matter physics. Tero specialises in forest-derived fibre materials, their mechanical properties, and acoustics. He is also very passionate about his cats.
  • Nádia, a Production Engineer, gets her hands dirty developing and manufacturing Circular Foams’ bio-based foam material. Her background is in Industrial Design Engineering, and she has experience in product development, materials, R&D, and marketing.
  • Anmol, also a Production Engineer, gets his hands dirty for the sake of Circular Foams’ material development. His background is in Industrial Design Engineering, and he is skilled in product development, process optimisation, and R&D. He has extensive experience in pitching for startups and has an interest in business.
  • Markus, the Commercial Advisor, is Circumar Foams’ business expert who makes sure the company stays on track for success. He has an MSc in Strategic Business Development, 9+ years of experience in startups and deep tech in various roles, and a strong track record of scaling companies internationally. Markus does not have a cat.
